If you publish the article WITHOUT asking permission from author of the website, the author can file a Digital Millennium Copyright Act http://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf violation against your website.

They can file it with your web host - and your web host typically issues a warning that you need to remove the content within 24 hours or your account will be suspended and your website removed

They can file it with the search engines such as Google http://www.google.com/dmca.html to make sure that the page where you used the article is REMOVED from their databases

They can file it with your advertising programs such as Google Adsense that can lead to your termination

If you want to use articles from another author, ask PERMISSION first. ALWAYS

I routinely file DMCA complaints against people who use my articles on their website without permission and the above parties (web host, search engines, ad programs) are always responsive and removes the offending content.

Put the authors name and link to where you got the article from. As long as people know who wrote the article and a link to the author and website should not be a problem.

Depends on the article source. You can go to the free article websites like www.ezinearticles.com, www.articlecity.com,etc. and republish to your website. But you can't modify them and have to include the author information and the website link. You don't need to contact the authors for that. Be sure to check the FAQs section of these websites. It is ok but these articles gets filtered under Google's duplicate content filter. It will be very hard for you to rank high. I don;t know what you meant by "I do not want to open them...". You have to mention the source at the bottom of as it was in the original website. Can't modify them.

It is a general rule of thumb that you can reproduce articles on your site as long as you leave the author bio in place and any active links. We as webmasters do this all the time with our articles and really we rely on other sites to put our articles on their web pages. What this does is it gives us a link and it is those links that are important to us for page rank and indexing. If you want an article email me I would be pleased to write one up for you. Consider adsense too if you have a good site.

As to get around the mirror effect with G there is a little trick that every second paragraph put in a tips box and this will rid the mirror id for the bot when she visits. The source box will show you how this is done if you click on another page after the index file.

Yes you are as long as you are able to acknowledge the original author on your article with a link back to the site.

I think you don't require any permission from Author.

Jusss mention writers name there.............right below the article..............................

And if writer finds his article being copied........he will simply ask you to remove it................nothing more can be done.........................

The copyrights go fragile when the things turn to online............................
