If you've seen the Ali G Show, it's old news. Further, it is an addition to the show which is sure to disappoint. Where the show follows strongly with its candid examination of the absurdity in the human condition by revealing social ills and challenging the status quo, Borat conforms to the American desire for a linear plot. Borat is needless and boring. Long winded and often not funny. Although it is worth the watch if you have been living under a few million rocks for the passed few million years, it isn't eye-opening, and definitely not funny enough (unlike the show) to demand a viewing. I wouldn't say it is plain dumb, but it isn't exactly smart either.

I just watched it tonight and I thought it was pretty funny. It definitely has some dumb parts, but that is to be expected coming into the movie. It has some gross scenes, but it also made me laugh out loud several times. I am not a teenager or immature, but I can watch a movie without taking it too seriously. Some of these people need to learn to do the same.

The movie is a bit offensive in some parts. For example, if you think that seeing a naked fat man rub his bum in the face of another naked man (Borat) funny, then this might be for you. On the other hand, if this sort of thing seems more revolting than funny to you, then don't bother with this movie. I personally found that it was mostly about shock value rather than anything very clever. I left the theatre wishing a had not bothered.

I loved it. I was belly laughing at certain points. It is almost a new kind of comedy genre. I bought it on the Tuesday it came out, I wanted it in my collection. You will like it I think. Most of my friends have the same opinion. Then again maybe we are all dumb.

i was skeptical at first especially because of the mixed reviews, but if your are a serious person then its not for you... but if your the type of person that has a HUGE sense of humour... i mean HUGE im talking about laughing just because someone around is laughing... then you will love this movie... otherwise you would think its a pretty funny movie... as for myself.... i went crazy, that sh!t is funny... think of it this way its funny to the point that you will forget you wasted your time watching epic movie

It's only a good marketing operation. Bad taste seems to give money, so It makes money; I think it is not the honest movie it pretends to be.

It's stupid because the humor is that which only a preteen would appreciate.
Plus many people lost their jobs and reputations becasue of it so it can't be good for that reason either.

rated R, very realistic, funny...some people think it is dumb, but in a way, going to a place with different culture can be shocking and if u dont know how these people live, they can see u as stupid....

A movie that only an 12 year old could love.
You really have to be stupid to think this movie was good.
