You could go with a hint toward bohemian french and try a lovely chartreuse - like the color that Nicole Kidman wore to the Oscars in 1997. It's a vibrant and alive color. You could accent it with a raspberry, celadon and aubergine. The men's vests could be in aubergine, accented with chartreuse bow ties. These aren't the colors you traditionally find in a typical wedding but together, if done right, will be beautiful.

Whatever color dress the bridesmaids have on make sure that the grooms men vest is the same color, as well with the tie/bow tie, and the little flower thing they were on there lapel. The groom can be different than the rest too, after all it is his day too, and he should'nt look exactly the same as the grooms men. Best wishes to you both, and enjoy your day make sure you take plenty of picture for memories!

lavender and sea mist- both are a new spin on traditional pastels. The sea mist is a really pretty green shade that leans towards teal without being so dark. Very popular. The men can wear a darker shade green or royal purple to coordinate with the womans dresses, even in spring/summer. If you do not want black tuxes, you may consider silver with a darker pattern- it matches the greens and purples, and does not sissi-fy the men for the event.

why dont you look through some favorite photos of the two of you or from places you've been and see if you get any inspiration. a sunset, a hotel comforter, a sweater he wore in one shot, etc. it might be easier if you could come up with a reason to narrow it down to one color, or a few colors. in the end it's not the only color you can end up using if you see other things you like - as you finalize plans other colors can be added and used to decorate and accent. relax. it's just a color. :)

I'm not a wedding expert but...I think that your ideas should be inspired by your fav memory together or a fav vaccation or sumthing that inspires you both or sumthing that represents your feelings and emotion toward each other. Agree on a single colour and then pick other colours to match your first colour. That makes it a palette of colours. Then, you can apply the palette to almost anything like flowers, cake etc.

What about bright colors as opposed ot the traditional spring pastels? Think of the color palette of gerber daisys...the bright fushia and orange and yellows. You could play up the fushias and yellows and use lots of those bright flowers as decorations as well...
Or, bright yellows paired with lavendar looks good too
