I would love to just agree with you. I love my Dallas Mavericks. I truly believe that this is our year and we are going to win it all. The Mavs are the truly dominant team this year. We are going to the playoffs having already clinched a playoff berth. The only question now is what our ranking will be at the end of the season. When it comes to the Suns they are an excellent offensive team. They run the court. If they are allowed to play their game they are nearly unstoppable. However I do not see the Mavericks allowing them to play their game. All things being fair this season would not come down to east vs west it would be Suns vs Mavs for the finals. That can't happen so I think these will be the teams in the Western Conference finals. The one team that could put either of these teams out of the West finals would be the Spurs. They are getting a little old but with age comes great experience and they know how to make use of that experience. To all those who will say Utah I say not yet they need just a little more experience before the finals come their way.

I agree the Mavs are great but to say the Spurs and Suns are horrible is just being a blind Mavs fan. The Spurs are currently riding a 12 game win streak and are quietly showing why they are still a team to be reckoned with in the west. While the Suns in their own right have really been doing well. Ask for the Mavs knocking both teams out of the playoffs last year, what happen last year mean nothing if they can't do it again this year and then win a championship in the finals instead of falling apart like the did last year against the Heat.

True, the Suns and Spurs both lost to the Mavs, but the result of those victories was that the Mavs were so beat down after playing 13 games against those 2, that the were defeated by a team inferior to them in talent and depth.
Its possible they could have that happen to them again this year.
By the way, I'm a Suns fan and I'd hardly call a 49-14 record "horrible". The Mavs started 0-4, but the Suns started 1-5, so although the Mavs are 52-6 since then, the sunsare 48-9...not too shabby.

sorry mate. yes no doubt the Mavs are flat out dominating this year so far. anyone who says otherwise is dead wrong. yes they have lost some games, but might as well lose a game now then in the playoffs....i mean winning 17 straight and then dropping 1....no shame in that!!!!

however on the other hand, the Suns and Spurs are 2 teams that are very dangerous and pose as the threats to the Mavs repeating and making their way to the NBA Finals. The Suns can match with the defensive assignments and can run offensively. the Spurs are a dominant defensive team that take pride in shutting you down. both if not one will meet them on their path to the finals. we have to also remember that the year before last, it was the Suns knocking out the Mavs, and it was the Spurs winning the trophy too!!!

Nope. Mavs is playing well at the moment but so are both Spurs and Suns. Anyone of them can pretty much win the Conference Finals and ultimately the Finals this year. Suns lost to Dallas in both games this year but only by a tiny margin (2 and 7 pts). Spurs won 1 out of 3 games against Mavs and again all games were close games!

I've always loved watching Dallas (ever since the big 3)p lay but I just can't help notice how dominating they are during the regular season and just pathetic in the playoffs. Yes they did knock off the spurs, kudos to them for that, but was Tim Duncan 100%? Nope...he was battling platar faschitis (sp?) the entire season.

Yes they did knock off the suns, but was Amare playing? How many guys were at full strength? Did you see the freak injury to Shawn Marion? How the heck did he play through the 7 game series?

You could argue that the Mavs weren't at full strength either (no team is during playoff time)...but they had a full roster of healthy bodies not guys with serious injuries.

The mavs play hard but they just cann't beat any of the top 7 teams in the Western Conference right now with full strength in an intense 7 game series.

you realize what. you're stunning yet wager what. that's often been spurs mavs and suns and that i will stick to those 3 communities. Lakers rockets hornets jazz ect might seem warm now. yet mavs and spurs made the finals the previous 3 years and suns have playoff adventure too. no count whats taking place stunning now interior the customary season dont permit it impression you're determination on how their playoff video games would be. anticipate adventure to get you further. Dont anticipate first around losses by making use of rockets and lakers to hold their team everywhere good commerce or no longer. Spurs are nevertheless the team to overcome and suns and mavs are nevertheless risky.

i agree that the mavs dominate, however, the suns and spurs are not horrible. those are probably the only 2 teams capable of knocking dallas off in the playoffs.
