It sounds like a good laptop. Do not billeve all of these people who say that acer is no good because it is good. I work in IT and see a lot of laptops. Aver is amoung the most reliable that i have came across. The worst are Dell, HP and Compaq I see heaps of them with major hardware problems. i set up 30 dell laptops up for a company and 5 of them had a dead hard drive when they were brand new. I use an Acer and love it. If you currently use a windows computer do not get a mac because you would have to get a whole new set of software. It is a great computer. get it.

Hopefully you're in Asia cos with that spec and $1,000... That price sounds correct. And from the spec, it's a good laptop no doubt. Good hard disk space, reliable processor, big RAM and good graphic card.

Acer are pretty good laptops but I don't like their "soft" screens. Have you thought about a Mac?
Dan is correct about Acer but I still don't like the "soft" screen but that is just my preference.

1000 seems like a reasonable price for all that , it should be like 800- 950

helll noo!!! DONT i have the same laptop as your but you have better graphic card and mine is a 2.0 ghz i bought it for around $650 in best buy when it was on sale

i would advice you not to go for Acer, the brand is not good.
