Okay - this is silly. These holidays are religious holidays - not bible based holidays - if they were bible based holidays - we'd all be Jewish and sometimes I wish we were! I don't think any true Christian really thinks December 25th was the day Jesus was born! I don't even think they had the gregorian calendar yet. St. Valentine was around later than Jesus probably after we had the gregorian calendar and there is probably evidence for the date of his death which I think is the day we celebrate Valentines day. You can conjecture on the date for Christmas all day. Well, to me the point is that it's alot of fun to celebrate things that are good - I mean you can't celebrate Happy murderers day or St. Stealing day. Regardless of your religion it's fun to celebrate things that are positive and good - even if you have no religion. Holidays are not about historical dating as they are the heart of the issues - Christmas, Easter and Valentines Day in particular being celebrations of love and family - that's the real point.

Christmas is celebration of the birth of Jesus, not the actual birthday. The celebrations known today were celebrated as Saturnalia, a pagan holiday as well as Yule and Natalis Solis Invicti. These pagan holidays were long in place before it became associated with Christianity. Valentine's day is in honour of St. Valentine and that would not appear in the Bible as since "the pope also declared in 496 that the feast of St. Valentine would be on February 14."

does it honelsty matter what the origins oh a celebration are? We use holidays to escape realitiy and be happy with everything, cheerish our loved ones more, and have a good time. It is the spirit of the holiday itself that should be important not where it came from, if ur celebrating it, in the way that makes you happy then awesome. It is sad we wait for holidays whatever they may be for each person and their beliefs, to treat life in such an estatic way and cheerish life and friends and family, but we do. So just relax and embrace holidays for the now, dont worry about why....

It's very difficult to say for sure that December 25 was the actual date of Christ's birth. The day actually serves as a reminder of the birth of Christ. Therefore, it is the event, and not the date that matters.

there is no proof, some people say that the calendar was changed over time and the exact date got lost.were not even sure what the exact time is,but people still celebrate it.....its better than not celebrating it at all anyway.

Technically - no pagan holidays are mentioned in the Bible. The only celebrations mentioned in the bible are weddings, anniversaries, mildstones in life.

Nobody knows when Jesus' bday is...they think it's Dec. 25th. I don't know about V-day and religious celebrations.
