i've heard of local pet stores buying back or at least taking guppy fry. I was wondering if anyone has had an experience like this. I have two females and one male guppy and both females just had fry. I left them all hoping some would get eaten, gave 7 away to a friend and still have about 15-20 guppy fry swimming around.

just wondering if anyone has had luck with selling or giving guppy fry to local pet stores.
thanks!

Chain stores will have no idea what you are trying to do. Independent stores will probably take your fry, but be aware that most likely they will be sold as Oscar food. Your own fish will get some if you leave them in the tank. Either way, the result will be the same.

The mom and pop stores might give you credit, or just take them off your hands.

They may not buy them back, but many will give store credit you can use for food, filters, or other purchases.
