There are a lot of things that will decide who will get Kevin Durant.
1. The first factor is whether or not Greg Oden will also be applying for the draft also. If he does, there is a high possibility that he could be chosen as the number one draft choice.
2. Second factor is who will have the worst record, the most likely team to be chosen for the 1st overall pick. Right now, it is the Memphis Grizzlies, but Boston can also lose enough to also contend.
3. Of course, if he wins the championship in college this year, he'll probably be satisfied enough to just go to the nba. If he doesn't win, he may return to Texas for another try at the championship.
So if he does go into the nba draft, I'll say he'll be chosen at the 2nd overall pick by the Boston Celtics. Greg Oden will come in at the 1st draft pick for Grizzlies. Again, we're not sure he'll be going to the draft, but he's got a lot of potential right now and could possibly be hte 1st overall pick also. We'll see!

Gosh, Boston or Memphis, teams with the worst records could both benefit from Durant's immediate impact. At Boston he could play alongside Al Jefferson. In Memphis, he could play in the frontcourt with Gasol, Warrick, and Swift. I think Memphis would be crazy not to take him. If Boston put Oden at Center, Jefferson could concentrate more on his offensive game. Either way, both of those teams will come out winners with Durant or Oden.

nicely, Dirk is over appeared now, yet he and his group had their opportunities. The Mavs/Dirk have been very primary from 2001 to 2005 yet after the loss interior the finals and the cave in to Golden State he wasn't held interior the comparable gentle. It did not help that the Mavs went from championship contenders to easily an exceedingly good playoff group after 2007. Flashier youthful gamers like (Durant, Roy, Rose) got here into the league and gamers like Lebron, Wade, Melo and Kobe had championship contending communities and the concentration shifted to them. Dirk continues to be enjoying MVP high quality ball, yet so are Lebron, Kobe, Wade and Melo, and that they are additionally "spotlight" kind gamers. Dirk isn't a flashy participant, so the only way he gets a super kind of media time, or his "recognize" returned is that if the Mavs are competing for a championship.

it all depends on which team gets him in the lottery!..its all done on probability....if your team doesnt make the playoffs they get put into a machine with a certain amount of balls...the team with the worst record (right now memphis) gets the most balls in the machine...which gives them the best chance to win the number one overall pick
...but just because u have the worst record in the nba doesnt mean your automatically going to win ( portland last year)..its all about luck!
...Kevin Durrant is most likely not goin number 1 anyways...hes a SURE FIRE number 2!
