um... if it is 95, then he is in trouble. the average temperature is 98.7 degrees farenheit.
if he has a fever, childrens tylenol, or childrens motrin works great.
You can try a walgreens pharmacies. They are usually open 24 hours a day (if you are in the states), and often times the corner stores may surprise you.
You can do several things, especially if it is a low fever. Give him a nice luke warm bath. Have a cold compress and wipe his brow and arms with it from time to time.
Dress him in loose, thin clothing. Put a blanket over him, but if he kicks it off, don't worry too much.
and it is ok to let a low grade fever persist until morning. If it is extremely high, then you need to worry.
whatever you do DO NOT give him regular adult tylenol, or motrin. The adult medicine can make him extremely sick, or even kill him.

I'm not POSITIVE but I think a fever under 100.4 degrees is ok for a baby. Fevers are meant to help fight off any bacteria or virus that is in the body.
A cool bath is a bad idea because you might give your baby chills and make him feel worse.
Dress him how you would if he didn't have a fever. Again, if you put him in just a t-shirt he could get chilled.
At most, put a cool compress (a cool-not cold- wash cloth works just fine) on his forehead and some cool-not cold- gatoraide. Make sure he stays hydrated.
Keep monitoring his temp to make sure it doesn't get too high.
Unfortunatly, he'll probably be a bit uncomfortable but that's part of being sick.
One last thought is a super wal-mart. I know the ones in my city are open 24/7.
Otherwise, I would suggest that you stock up on items such as tylenol for all the times that you're going to need it at hand. Another good thing to keep on hand is gum gel for teething. I can't tell you how many times I've needed that in the middle of the night!

If the fever is under 103, there is no real need to bring it down. Fever is the bodies way of boosing the immune system and even killing some viruses and bacteria. Bring a fever down unnecessarily can actually HURT the body's ability to fight the infection.
Too many folks are afraid of fevers w/o reason. There is nothing harmful about a fever (as long as it doesn't get too high for too long). The AskDrSears.com website usally has great info on children's fevers.
Other than Tylenol, I don't know of any home remedies. Even a cool bath doesn't really help b/c it doesn't reset the internal thermostat. Chilling someone w/ a fever can actually make things WORSE.

Hi Sweetie! Normal temperature is 96.8 degrees so if his temp is 95 he doesn't have a fever. 99 or 100 degrees is a low-grade fever and 102 and above is high. If the fever is high and you have no tylenol, lay him in shallow bath water of warmish to cool water and pat his head with a wet cloth. Don't let him get chilly though. ( If he shivers make sure he gets warmth) Try to get him to drink cool water with some sugar in it. Don't get too afraid because babies get fevers easily especially when they are teething. Call the emergency room if you are worried. It doesn't sound like he has a fever though. Good luck!

He don't have a fever that is normal, but if he ever do try:
Put a cold towel over his head
Give him water or pedialyte(sorry if misspelled)
Let him suck on a Popsicle
Make sure he doesn't have on too many layers of clothes
If the fever go beyond 100 and it keep going up take him to Urgent Care or the ER

Small children that have a fever can get infantile convulsions from the heat. If your baby goes into convulsions, phone 911.
Now that being said, if his temp is less than 100F, there is not a problem, leave him alone.
If you feel he is too hot, you can cool him by gently wiping him with a cloth dipped in cold water.
DO NOT PUT HIM IN COLD WATER,...DO NOT PUT HIM IN FRIDGE OR FREEZER,... AND DON"T OVERDO THE COLD WIPES...Babies are very subject to HYPOTHERMIA !!!
It is always better to get help than injure the baby.

Take off his clothing and just leave him in his nappy, with a tempid face washer wipe down his body, alternatively you could give him a tempid bath, afterwards put a singlet on him so he doesn't get the shivers, let him suck on an icy pole or a cool washer and make sure he is drinking plenty of water.. When you can get down to the chemist/pharmacy and pick up some paracetamol...If he does get worse, don't hesitate to take him to the hospital..

Give him a lot of fluids. Water of baby apple juice. Also, dont cover him up because it will make him hotter. Try putting cold washcloth on his forehead
