Even if you give him tylenol he'll still scream or cry because his arms/thighs probably sore. Before you give him tylenol you should ask his doctor first.

I personally dont like giving kids anything before its needed.
If you are breastfeeding then breastfeed whilst he gets his shots. This is calming and relaxing for them and they will only cry for a bit and then go back to feeding. Its more of a shock.
I'm sure you can do the same thing with a bottle.
Afterwards if baby has a fever then use tylenol/panadol. The amount should be on the side of the box and bottle. Please stick to the limits for age as you dont want to overdose the baby.
If the spot were the shots were given becomes red/sore or warm to the touch then place a cold wet wash cloth on it for a little bit.
Thats what I did for my kids shots and they handled it really well. For the baby ones they didnt even cry for longer than 30 seconds!!! As they got older (toddlers) and knew what was going on was when the problems started.

one half teaspoon of the 160 mg elixir . but I would give it about an hour before so its really in his system. He may fussy for a few days and its hard but he has to have them. keep the tylenol handy but no more than 5 doses in a 24 hour period. This is from the book "Caring for you baby and yound Child" from the american academy of pediatrics. Its a great book at tells you everything from milestones to sleeping and emergencies. Good luck

Our Doctor recommended Panadol 1hour before shots, she still got upset but no where near as bad.
