I am currently living in CA (my bf said he would buy me the ticket and all) and now my mom has been trying to find reasons for me not to go and trying to make me feel like going to see him is a bad choice, but I want to see him! Then she says she wants to talk to him about this whole relationship we have and where it's going and all....but I am so afraid she's going to scare him off!! So what exactly do I do?

I'm 23, the problem is...I still live at home, my mom is a single mother and I depend her somewhat for stuff. So plus, she comes from a conservative, catholic Mexican family who hold morals and honor to the highest degree.

Oh and no, I didn't meet my bf online, I met him like 3 years ago in college, but we were only friends back then.

Let your mom talk to him because if he gets scared off then you should not be with him...plus if she talks to him it will probably make her feel more secure and you more secure...and if he wants to pay for your ticket he should not have a problem talking to your mom

How old are you? If you are a high school kid I would say that there would be no way that you would ever go to Texas, or anywhere else that you would have to stay with said boyfriend, as long as I was your mother. Why is your mother being so wishy-washy? Doesn't she know how to say "No"? If you were my daughter you'd die of self-pity before you ever saw the inside of that guys house.
If you are 18 or older you can make your own decisions without asking your mom's permission. However, even that would be a bad idea if you expect your mom to continue supporting you as, apparently, she is. If you don't care if she kicks you out then do whatever you want to do.

i think it would be best if you let your mom talk to your boyfriend first. because you can never convince your mom to let you go not unless she trusts your boyfriend first. let her get to knowhim better. if she finds your boyfriend trustworthy enough, she will surely let you go. your mom just probably wants you to be safe.
you can also ask your boyfriend to come over to your place instead. that way, you're on your own turf andyour mom will not worry so much about you. once your mom sees that the two of you are both responsible, she will surely go easy on you the next time you ask for her permission.

If you are 18, get out on your own, work support yourself and do what you want.
If you aren't 18, or are being supported by mama, then what she says goes. If you are under 18 and mama says yes, she should be ashamed of herself.
