I have no experience with Weapon R (although i obviously have heard of them) but to be perfectly honest with you, any piece of mandrel bent tubing with a good quality air filter (K&N for example) on the end will work JUST as well. The difference in cost between a Weapon R cold air, and one you make yourself or buy for real cheap can be several hundred dollars, and honestly you'd get about the same performance. The main goal of cold air intakes is to get as little disturbance of the air entering the intake as possible, and to retrieve the coldest (most dense) air possible. Although it would be easier to just drop some money on a Weapon R or the like, I highly suggest you do a little research and build one yourself. They can be made super easy, and super cheap, while still looking really good, and giving you great performance.

Goodluck!
