Hey mam are you living in 2007 or 1907???? Which wife touches her husband’s feet nowadays & rather I will say which husband will ask her wife to touch his feet???? If it is happening with you then my heartiest sympathies for you. Tell your husband to modernize himself & start living in 2007.

Because husband are egoistic. They feel proud and honour when thier wife touch their feet. This is actual meaning of touching feet by wife in this age.
In ancient time, it is a traditional way of showing respect to husband by a wife. At that time, men was a sole bread earner of the family. Now it is not, in some case womens earn more than mens, so men still wants their wife to touch their feet just to show that they are still lower than men.

It is the feeling of gender and all men feel that they are greater than woman. Hence, when touched at feet by wife, they elated and hug her.Once feet touched is not the meaning of love and it is taking her to his hold. That is all. Wont a wife love a husband who touches his wife's feet? It is a control based high. That's all. The ring master in the circus likes the tamed lion. But all this are trancedental. They will have moments in life were life's realites shows them that it needs both of them to row the boat.

Now don't start it all over again. We touch our elders feet to pay respect. Why do you guys find it embarrassing? Neither is it something to be proud of. Husbands are normally elder to their wives. Hence they touch their feet. It's not at all a matter of ego, dominance, etc.
Why do we have to look down upon that event? How would touching someone's feet disturb my values?
