Richard Thompson is my favorite. He's probably not the most technically proficient player in the world but he comes up with some gorgeous acoustic arrangements and he's one of the most unique lead players I've ever heard.

Can't believe I'm the first one to say this...
Jimmy Paige
There are many greats, Hendrix, Clapton, Buckethead, Harrison...but no one better.

Kevin "Noodles" Wasserman of The Offspring. He's got one fast downstroke. And the name "Noodles" wasn't just given to him for no reason. Maybe he's not the BEST, but he's pretty damn good.

Buckethead, no question. He plays beautifully, and rocks at the same time. Tom Morello is good, but all his solos sound exaclty alike.

brian haner jr aka synyster gates from avenged sevenfold. he could carry the whole show by himself. i love zacky v dont get me wrong but syn has mad skills.
scott danough from bleeding through is also pretty amazing. he is more into shredding than really showing off but he is amazing at what he does.
