Half a year ago a person told me that he felt I hold the key to free his soul. And this person meant this totally serious.
What could be a "key" to free another persons soul.
Do you have any idea which could give me some inspiration what this could mean?

Hello buzzgirl, I do not know what his perception of a free soul is. He went through some tough times in his life, but he is only a distant aquaintance. During a conversation he told me that for about 5 minutes long, that he felt that about me. And he even asked me if I have an intuition about that myself, as he feels that so strongly. I do not really know what this key could be honestly said, still I feel that this has a meaning as it does not let me peace myself, but somehow seems to haunt me.

Wow. That must have either meant a lot, or seemed like a lot of pressure.

You are probably going to get a lot of religious answers...Jesus is the key to your soul...and I believe that is true.

But I think that your friend probably meant that he saw you as someone who could encourage and allow him to be himself...realize his potential as a person, unlock all the things he has to offer the world, and help him get to his best self. How old are you? If you tend to feel the same way, and if he isn't CrAzY keep him around and marry him! He would be very good to you.

I think this other person was trying to put you on a guilt trip or trying to manipulate you in some way. We have no direct control over another persons soul. The belief that, that can be is only an illusion. The"key" as you asked is to get him to understand his responsiblity for his own life. Many people because of a deluded sense of compassion or sympathy will find themselves enslaved by that kind of person.

I think the only possible way for a soul to be free is when a person dies. Then the soul separates from the body and is free.

Maybe he means that you have what it takes to unlock his emotions, feelings, and that you make him feel alive inside and out. It takes a special person to hold a key to someones soul. It sounds like he has fallen in love and thinks your the one.

I think it depends on the context in which the statement was made and on the beliefs of the person who made it. What is the person's understanding of a freed soul? What exactly was he or she expecting? Why you?

empty their money into your bank account.

on a guys point of view:

one plausible reason: he wants to hit your hot box and will say what you think you want to hear to get in there.

another possibility: he wants to get into your hot box and the back door.

another another reason: he wants to get into your hot box, back door and oral orifice.

last possible reason: he is crazy and most likely thinks youre the one to set him free. he will most likely turn into a stalker, slit his wrists and blame his death on you.
