The media wants you to believe that there is a rift between parties, but they are actually one and the same. If the people stay divided, then there will be no major unity to get something done about the ineffectiveness and opposition people face from crooked lawmakers.

Gang mentality. Everyone likes to be in a group that excludes a large enough group of people to be exclusive, but that includes enough people to be powerful.
It's why, given any group of 20 or more(often less) , isolated from others they will find SOME way to divide themselves fairly evenly into antagopnist groups...or else find a very few members to antagonize.

I don't love to bash anyone, but if some one attacks me for my politics I feel compelled to point out the faults in theirs. some of my best friends are politically opposite of my self, but we respect each others views.
