but anything alonge those lines.. i need romane in them or they will bore the hell out of me. Anything that has princess, or cats in it really make me happy , so do mermaids. Um like i said lots of romance and i want pretty high quality, nothing old and stuff like past the 2000 year range...

have u seen fushigi yugii (the curious play)?
i really like it, they have a great story. and they have great romance in it and yet the fight.. so its good for both boys and girls. (not to mention the guy, tamahome, is very2 handsome.. oohhh :P)
the other one but its not so new..

Are you limited to things you can buy on the American market? As in DVD's sold at a retail store?
Have you considered watching fan subtitled anime that you can download off the internet? It really opens up the amount of anime offered to you. Along with not having to deal with Americanization of a series, as I can see you not liking Cartoon Network...
As for series I know that are already out in America you might enjoy...
*Kaleido Star - you can buy this in a thin pak for cheap! Story about a girl trying to become the star of a well... it's like a circus... but cooler. ^^;
*Pretear - Also in thin pak, girl tries to stop evil from killing the world with the help of a lot of hot guys. ^^; Okay, I'm really over-generalizing these descriptions, but they are honestly very good.
*Azumanga Daioh - Thin Pak - Just a cute series on the lives of a few high school girls. Very cute and very funny.
*Full Moon wo Sagashite - I think they are releasing this on DVD. Really pretty art and very cute. ^^
There are a lot more I can think of, but these are the ones really coming to the top of my head. I hope this is of some help. ^^

I wanted to suggest Fushigi Yuugi (Curious Play), its a romance-fantasy-drama anime with lots of good looking guys and pretty funny too, except that the romance part bores me.
Too bad this anime was really long ago, i think from 1993.
Nvm skip that, i think the only ROMANCE ONLY anime that I've watch is Midori no Hibi (Midori Days).
Cute, funny, with some nudity too. Don't worry, it is not that sick.
I wonder if you've already seen that.

death note is a very2 good anime. it was released in Japan on November 3, 2006. it is very thrilling. the characters are also cool. theres Yagami Light, L, Misa, and the shinigamis(death gods).
tokimeki memorial~only love~. it's good too. it's about romance and weirdness.

I agree. also for the ordinary practice, Mad+, journey Time are for truly no longer for little ones. There are some beside the point issues. sure I also bypass over Toonami, and bypass over all those shows like braveness the Cowardly canines, potential puff ladies. :( --------....
