I usually give her about 20$ a week to spend on herself, and she has been doing her wifely duties to my satisfaction. How much should I increase per week?

Did you say $20? You have to be kidding..Are you? If you are a good husband you should give your wife if she is not working at least $75 to $100 per week. Get with it and move into the 21st century. Stop being so cheap with a devoted wife. That $20 is an allowance from the year 1920.

Are you kidding me, you give her an allowance! She is your wife not your daughter! How much do you have for lunch or to spend on yourself for the week, i'm sure you buy a couple of beers after work. Give the women at least $100 to make up for the crappy way that you are treating her. Forget the allowance altogether and give her a card to a joint account. We live in the new century where women can't and shouldn't be treated like the old days.

A new outfit would be oh say $80, a manicure would be $30, a nice tan maybe $10 and say $20 to get her hair done. That's not including new shoes or jewelry. I'd say around $150 ought to do quite nicely. If you give her only $20 a week to spend makes me wonder what you'd give your kids. .50?

A minimum of $50 per week. That is only a $30 difference. And these days, that is not much. Clothes cost, and getting your hair done, makeup, perfume, those cost money. You are giving her $80 per month-a five week month 100,$, so at least $30 per week, or $50 is better. Your decision.

If your wife is a full time homemaker and you appreciate what she does for the home and family, instead of a weekly allowance of just 20$ it would be better if you allowed her to buy something special for herself once in a while. This shows yourself as a generous husband who does not count his pennies and assures her of your love and appreciation.

if you arent making much income and you are saying this then i understand. i say you should go up to 50... i myself spend about 20 bucks a week on myself and i dont even mind... look at your wife is she happy? is she as beautiful as the day you meet her? if she isnt and she looks happy she might not be saying anything becuase of financial reasons, that is if you have financial problems... if this is the case dont make her feel uncomfy with 50... maybe 35... i feel so weird writting this post but i am trying my best to understand where you are coming from. or understand your financial situation

Hahaha, it sucks to be your wife. A tiny allowance per week? Wifely duties? Hahaha!!!! Poor woman. She's your doormat. If you respect her, give her full access to your bank account.

You shouldn't have a wife if you are being honest with this statement. She obviously has to be desperate to deal with somebody like you who really don't appreciate what having a wife means.
