My wife bought the the Dunstan baby language DVD last month and it has made a huge difference. Compared to the first month when we didn't know the system, we get a lot more sleep.
Reading the posts above, it's not like a baby sign language... with this you understand the sounds your baby makes and then respond to them.
At first, I was skeptical when I heard about it, but now I would definitely tell anyone who is about to have a child to get the DVD.

It helped me and my wife a lot. Mostly to differentiate between hunger and passing gas. Hunger is really important and it is also useful not to confuse passing gas with burping. Otherwise there would be a lot more cleaning :D.
There is no need to sell this information on 2 DVD's though, it can all fit on a single DVD and it doesn't last that long. The marketing team screwed up a bit there cause you kinda feel cheated at the end EVEN THOUGH dunstan baby language actually does work on almost all babies.
Gonna put an image into this post as a quick reminder on the various sounds babies make... hope it works, if not you can click the source link.
p.s.
The quick reminder is practically all you need (plus a little practice) to get the hang of dunstan baby langugage.

I had to look this up, I did not know what you were talking about.
Interesting!!
I do not know if it works or not but, I do know that mother's learn very early on what the different sounds a baby makes mean.
My daughter has been teaching my g'son sign language since he was 6 mos. old. He is learning very well.
Although sign language teaches the child to communicate, the Dunstan program seems to be aimed at teaching parents to learn what baby wants by the sound he makes.
I will say it again. Interesting!!
Good luck!

I bought it for my friend just before she had her bub. We watched it and kept saying “wow” cause our older bubs had definitely made some of those noises when they were newborn!!
The Dunstan system totally worked with her new little one and made life SO much easier. I would definitely tell everyone out there to give it a try.
A note, its not like baby sign language. Its for newborns, for the first 12 weeks. I started baby sign with my son much later, about 8 months.

It does artwork. All infants sound a touch distinctive while asserting the sounds. Uhh- Nuh and such. yet they do make those sound and that they do recommend countless issues. I wish i might have properly-known while mine have been youthful. I observed a toddler the different day going Uhh Uhh for the tummy discomfort could desire to burp and the mummy replaced into clueless and positioned him to mattress. I felt undesirable for him and he or she had even watch Oprah and stated to me he did no longer make those sounds...She wasn't listening!

i think if you rule out hunger a dirty nappy etc it has to be wind etc

The only one that i know that works is the sigh language thing works. I dont know if thats the one that your talking about or not but babies as young as 4 months old can learn basic signs that allows them to communicate with you. My step son who is 2 uses it and he can tell us when he is hungry, tired, bored and he bearly can talk. its really nice.

I don't know. I used baby signs w/ my babies.
I don't think you need an expensive program to tell you how to understand your babies. You need to trust your instinct. YOu might not think so, but you know more than you think. A bit of trial and error is not harmful to baby either.

i borrowed them off a friend luckily,i didnt waste my money , i dont think they work for every baby, mine makes all the sounds in just one cry, so its hard to know what she wants, u work it out better by yourself, if they r due for a feed , feed them, if theyv been up for a while and r cryin, put them to sleep, a parent knows best
