Who Do You Prefer Van Halen or "Van Hagar"?

Most fans knew Eddie was in rehab so I'd say he had a pretty compelling reason to not be at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction.
But it seems to me that Roth just cannot get his $hit together. never really cared for his style all that much.
And who was that other guy, Gary who? Wasn't with the band long enough to even remember.

Sammy Hagar was mildly 'classier' than David Lee Roth. DLR is a bit of a clown, but that's his thing. Sammy Hagar is more of a rock n' roller. I saw concert footage where David Lee Roth was so f**ked up [on acid or ?] he forgot the words to the song! That was 'classic' Van Halen. Gary Charonne was a horrible replacement for Sammy- what were the V.H. brothers thinking on that one?

It seems to be linked to how old you are- I remember when Roth was in Van Halen, so I prefer it with Roth-

Van Hagar had too much keyboards and synthesizers and way too many ballads and love songs.

I liked Roth and the old VH when I was a little kid but by the time I was 14 I knew Sammy had more talent in his pinky than DLR could ever hope for.

Today hearing DLR makes me ill.

difficult one, the two incredible songs. lower back interior the Saddle is one in all my favourites on the Rocks album, yet then Runnin With The devil.. only in accordance with my temper applicable now, i pass to assert Aerosmith.
