He told us that " if you want to have a girl (become pregnant with) the man has to shoot first and if you want to have a boy the woman has to shoot first". He was so funny, God bless him, he's been gone for about 6 months now. Is there any truth to that?

lol thats cute ive never heard that one...im sure its just an old wives tale (or grandfathers tale in this case) people tend to take facts that they learn and find fun ways to interpret them which is what this was im sure.....i know people that have tried all sorts of things to have the sex baby they wanted and it didnt work. a friend of mine actually douched with vinegar before sex to have a girl (theory being male sperm are weaker so the acidity will kill them) and 9 months later she gave birth to healthy baby BOYS ....3 of em to be exact she was so mad when she found out she was having boys she wanted to choke her grandmother i think for telling her that...of course once they came she loved them dearly and you will too no matter what you have im sure =)

No there is no truth to it...If you want a boy you would have to surgically remove all of the sperm carrying the female chromosomes from your boyfriends semen because the guy is the one who carries the genetic code that determines the sex of a child...not the position they are in during sex. Not the moon being full, not the time of year or time of day.

I don't know about that.

The theory that I've heard is that intercourse no closer than 2 days before ovulation is more likely to result in a girl and intercourse on the day of ovulation (abstaining for several days before) is more likely to result in a boy. This turned out to be the case for me w/ each of my children, though we didn't plan it that way.

According to medical studies, male sperm swim faster, but die quicker. Female sperm are slower, but live longer. The best chance for having a boy is to have sex within a day either way of your ovulation. For a girl, have sex a few days before you ovulate. It worked for me! I have both.

I guess Grandpa was kind of right, in his own, quaint way!

Um, "could desire to my boyfriend be tanned greater with afro hair?"...needless to say, in accordance to God (or nature; despite you opt for to assert), no. What a bizarre question! Biracial human beings and their descendants could have a large sort of features. a buddy of mine is white and her youngster's dad is black. Their daughter has blue eyes, quite tan pores and skin and hair merely like her mom's.

ah, no.

there is some speculation about early vs. late ovulation & basal temperature that you can influence boy versus girl.

I say knock boots as much as possible & be happy with whatever the result is!!

No truth to it but it sounds like one of grand parents would say that

The sex of the baby is determined by the sperm that fertilizes the egg - no way to make a certain sperm get to it first.

No, its nothing but the chromosomes that determine what sex not who comes first. May god rest his soul in peace though.
