Oh you can have true love as a teenager. A lot of relationships don't last, but some do. I started dating my husband a month after I turned 17. January 28th was the 4 year anniversary of the day we started dating. We just got married back in December. Also, my parents met in high school. My mom was 17, my dad was 20. They ended up being married for 16 years. They eventually divorced but still 16 years is a lot longer than some people are together.

I'm not sure if it's true or not. I know when most adults think about "teenage love" they see it as infatuation. And in most cases that's what it is. That or teens are so enthusiastic about having a boyfriend or girlfriend these days because all their friends do...sort of a bandwagon thing going on there. I think it's also just the idea of having someone you can talk to and share emotions with, especially about school and parental units. But there are occassions when teenagers grow up and marry their highschool sweetheart, and there are cases when the two teens involved go their seperate ways.

Yes! If you believe you are in love, you watched too many Disney movies with all these happy endings. It's not possible to love someone that doesn't know who they are. (I know what you're thinking and the answer is . . . ) No! You are not even close to knowing who you really are either. You have not even taken up any true space in the world. You don't even know what life is really about.

You know how adults are always saying have as much fun as you can when your young because it goes by fast? You can't even begin to imagine the true meaning of that statement! You won't even begin to get a glimpse of what that means until you are about 30!

What you are experiencing know is infatuation. It often feels like love but the reality is it's not. Don't focus on one guy because it is not healty. Focus on friendships with guys before relationships. If you can not maintain a friendship then what's the use. If you aim to make best friends, then you strive to create the perfect relationship. There are always qualities we ignore and flaws we ingnore if you jump into boyfriend/girlfriend mode. Don't cheat yourself.

First, true love is as much about a commitment as a feeling. I fell in love at 17 with my then boyfriend, after having dated him a year. It took time for those feelings to truly develop. I've now dated (or been married to him) for 11 years now. I think love can happen at a young age. But I also think most young people aren't committed enough to stick by each other, especially when times get hard.

In teens it is difficult to differentiate between true love n infatuation or general liking etc. Once you re in ur adulthood u can at least have an idea of the realities of the world so u can weigh the pros-cons of ur relationships. then also u can make errors but then chance of finding true love are more then..

Yes a teenager can love and they do love. I know many couples that were together in highschool who are married and have kids and are really happy. If you find your soul mate or a person that you know that you could spend the rest of your life with, than good for you. Its possible... the only reason that people think that its impossible is because teenagers are filled with all kinds of hormones and feelings can change over night.

In your teens love is often mistake for lust, hormones kick in in early teens and that is the problem. Hormones can make us believe we are in love rather then being in true love we only want one thing. True love means waiting for that one person, God will send us to be our one and only love. True love is knowing how to wait and control emotions and feelings well enough to make things better for you and the one your dating. The Why Wait program had the right idea. God Bless and Keep you.

No one can tell you whether or not you love some one. Age doesn't come into play in whether or not you love another person. What you do have to be careful with, especially because you are young, is whether you are mistaking other feelings for love. Also what you do with that love, for example sex, if you're young rethink having sex until later on, or until you're 100% sure you really love someone enough to do that with. Just listen to your heart, because no one in this forum can answer that question.
