Every night at 12:00am (Midnight) CST my pc's performance drops. I play some online games (BF2) and it runs great on my pc, until midnight... every night! Whats going on here? I have AVG Antivirus installed and everything appears to be updated. I also have ZoneAlarm Firewall installed and updated. WindowsDefender is also installed. I almost always shutdown processes that are not needed before I jump in a game, but even when I don't the game runs great until midnight. I know it's not my connection as I have tested the connection several times after leaving the game. Any idea what the hell's going on behind the scene?

Probably at the server end the meter(Data), is being reset
if you have data usage based connection.
Anyway try this programs and clean up your computer.
1ccleaner from http://www.filehippo.com
2AWC2Personal from http://www.iobit.com
In 2nd program check under tools/memory cleaner.
Run this two programs after you finish your games or when you turn off the the computer.

It's odd that it's the same time everyday, especially when it's not 3:30 when all the kids get home from school.
I would check all your update programs and scan programs. you may have one scheduled for midnight and it is running in the background. you can also find what's running by hitting alt-cntr-del and go to the task manager. all the programs will show up and show the amount of CPR and memory being used.

Good luck.

Starcraft: Brood War features a new ladder, single player campaigns, tilesets, SCX's, upgrades, and units. The Brood War ladder runs along side the existing one, so players without Brood War will only be able to compete in the current ladder. There are no new buildings; new units and their upgrades will be accessed through current buildings.
