The computer dials up and is online but we can't open any online programs. I have tried everything I can think of. PLEASE HELP ASAP.

Computer will dial up showing I am online, but when I open IE or other online program it can't find server. I tried Netscape too, same thing. It happened after I ran the computers registry check.

Restart your computer and check if your internet plug is connected.
If it's connected. Go to the internet connection wizard. Try to reconnect it.
Check if you're connected:
Go to START > RUN then type CMD then type ping
If it has no reply, then, you have a serious problem in your PC. Contact your net provider for this... ;)

make sure you have the right internet protocols installed like tcp/ip. control panel>network connections>dial up connection>networking
does your firewall conflict with any of the programs try turning windows firewall off and check and see if the programs work. does internet explorer work?
