We bailed their asses out of two huge messes and all we get for it is kicked in the teeth. Isn't it time we turned off the foreign aid and told them all to stuff it?

I never said the U.S. won the wars single-handedly, only that we bailed the other Allied countries out, which is simple fact.
Russia won the Eastern Front of WWII, true, and suffered horrible casulties doing it. However, if the U.S. had not entered the war and had not thet and the other Allied powers not forced the Axis to divide their war machine instead of concentrating on the Russian front the outcome would have been much diffrent.
France capitulated with barely a struggle, seems to be a trend there with them. England was tottering, without the U.S. aid it is probable that they would have been over-run.

The fact is undeniable, the entry of the U.S. into both World Wars decided their outcome, and Europe is better off today because of it (and that includes the former Axis countries). We saved their butts and it seems that they haven't forgiven us for it . . . . .

Yes, we have many friends in Europe, we would have been speaking German now if we didn't help in the two wars/

The US war factories made huge amounts of money on both world wars and were late to come in with both. The US and Japan were both colonizing in the South Pacific and were virtually at war for many years. Hence the bombing of the US fleet at Pearl Harbor. Also remember that Hawaii was not a state then. They were under US occupation. Later, in 1949, Hawaii was coersed into becoming a US State.

When the US went to war in Europe with the allies they did so because Germany declared war on the US. The US fely vunerable and didn't want to fight a war at home. American interests.

The allies became a big help right away with the war with the Japanese and the allies still had major trouble fighting then and then the two atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The atomic bomb was developed in the US but was not a result of American inginuity bur rather by a consortium of scientist from the allied countries.

How much affect the US help made to the war in Europe but the major work was done by the allies. Don't pay so much attention to the self gratifying movies out of Hollywood.

The US winning the war on its own in Europe is a bit over rated. Russia won the war in Europe and had the most casulties. The Cold War propaganda history has yet to be properly re-written.

Europe is very unlikely going to slip into another war with each other. It could be the case the US ending up in a war with the likes of Venezuala and other South American nations if populism keeps taking control of nations there. And then who will be bailing who out?own companies in both areas. We don't get foreign aid from you. You borrow from us, not to

As for foreign aid, both the US and Europe invest in each other heavily and both mention nearly every other industrialised nation.

The Europeans learned their lesson after WWII. Obviously Great Britain and the USA did not.

Also, both times we entered those wars, under Woodrow Wilson and then Franklin Delano Roosevelt, we were terrified that if we did not we would be attacked. If we had not, the Germans could have taken over the USA. All of Europe and the USA might well be living under the Hapsburg/Hohenzollern Empire or some descendant of Hitler.

i beg to differ from you on second world war - US got involved only after its interestes were attacked all across pacific - from Pearl Harbour to Manilla to taipei... The entire Pacific command was bought to its knees in less than 48 hours.
Had US stayed away from Germany and tried to contain just Japanese - that would have meant a sure defeat of UK. Also that may have lead Japanease to focus on US intead of South east asia.
i.e. had US not saved Europe, the would have had Germans getting ready to hit them across atlantic and possible Japanese landing on west coast where they had already taken care of all of US's defences.

The bottom line is US is great because it never faught a war on its own land - Europe is its first line of defence. If ever Europe falls US too will follow

Well, I don't personally believe Europe will have another "in house" fight per se; nevertheless, if the European Union's member sates decide to pounce on one another, I say let them go at it with all their might as we here in the United States look on and say, "Well, it's their war, let them deal with it..." Unless of course the fight should happen to spill over the Atlantic and onto our shores, which would be more than likely due to the fact that most W'sMD and their delivery systems don't discriminate about borders and such.
