Should euthanasia be legal?

I am writing a debate on why euthanasia should not be legal. I would like to no people's positive opinions on this topic. I had no decision on choosing which side I'm speaking on, so please don't ask me why I would say that. I really just want opinions on why euthanasia should not be legal, but if you must state your opinion on why it should be legal go ahead. Thanks for your help!

I never said I didn't have an opinion. I said that I didn't make the decision. If you're so interested in my opinion then I will let you know that I agree with my given topic to speak on.

Yes, I believe euthanasia should be legalized. It is important to give those who are suffering from severe disabilities and diseases the option of ending their life in a humane manner.

What about those whose disability is so severe that they are unable to coherently think and speak for themselves? In this case, euthanasia should be administered with the consent of their parents or legal guardians.

What if the patient doesn't have known parents, legal guardians, or close relatives? Then in that rare situation, members of both the medical and legal communities shall determine the proper course of action. They shall examine closely whether euthanasia is the most humane and compassionate thing to do for the patient.

To me, it is logical and compassionate to give individuals suffering from disability and/or disease the right to end their lives with dignity.
