why IS there thunder and lightning? NOT why is there NO thunder and lightning?

Thunder is caused by lightning causing the air to literally explode since the lightning is so intensly hot. The sound you hear is the explosion.

ever make static and get shocked on a door knob the principle isthe same the cloud have a negative charge and the ground a positive when it builds up enough charge it discharges and hence lightning thunder comes from the super heated air moving out words so fast that when in hits the colder air it makes the loud boom sound

Becasue charge accumulates in the atmosphere until the voltage differential is large enough to ocause a discharge (lightning). After that, the superheated air around the discharge expands outwards as a shock wave to produce the sound we call 'thunder'.
