Well a couple of points:

1. The bullet was not found on ANY stretcher. It was found on the floor outside the men's restroom by Parkland Hospital employee Darrel Tomlinson
2. The stretcher nearest to where it was found was that belonging to Governor Connally. It was the bullet that came out of his thigh--not out of the president.

Now for a little analysis of this significant event. It is absolutely, 100% positive that the bullet had to be genuine, because IF it was a fake or a planted bullet, placed there by these unidentified conspirators, then HOW would they know that the REAL bullet wouldn't be found downstairs in the emergency room? Think about that. They are taking a chance that inside these two men there will NOT be found the real bullet. Because if the doctors find the REAL bullet, the one fired from the real assassin's rifle and then an EXTRA bullet is found upstairs near some stretchers how will they explain that extra bullet? Won't that reveal their conspiracy plot and foil their attempt to successfully get away with murder.

Of course such a theory is ridiculous. There is no plot that would include a long-shot clause like that one. And please keep in mind the following facts as well:

1. The bullet found on the floor was matched to Oswald's rifle to the exclusions of ALL OTHER WEAPONS ON THE PLANET.
2. The fragments taken from Connally's wrist matched THAT bulletas well.
3. NO OTHER bullet was ever found that could account for the wounds to Kennedy and Connally. NONE.

And there you have a clear and concise discussion of the stretcher bullet (Commission Exhibit 399)

Ta-Da!

P.S.

One will easily notice that the detracting comments following mine are typical of the conspiracy believing community. Not one of them added a single scrap of supporting evidence. they never do. My entire answer was based on the actual evidence in the case, the detractors simply stand on the sidelines with their hands in their pockets, wag their heads, and say, "Well it didn't happen THAT way." But they never offer any supporting evidence. Ever.

*BELCH!!!* What seems odd is the fact that so many people are still desperate to cover-up the Kennedy assassination.

Planting that bullet in the hospital would be just as easy as say........ Tammy and Mr Curious being the same person. Crooks like playing with a stacked deck. Both government conspirators or say people trying to convince other readers that day is night and night is day.

Charlie B......... You're just spinning your wheels on this answer. The outcome was decided before the first answer was ever given. And you ARE right in your thinking. Only a stooge would believe differently.

And there you have it.....from a guy who would just love to meet you on a dark street.

I remember the day the news reported the assassination, and I have thought about it often since then. That a bullet was found on the stretcher doesn't surprise me at all. The astonishing facts of the killing are seconded only by the ineptitude of the investigation and the cover-up by the Warren Commission. The take over of the autopsy by military doctors, the various witnesses' stories... all of those things led to my distrust of portions of our gov't. Many people claim that the conspiracy theories that have evolved from JFK's death are simply wishful thinking, or paranoia. I however think that I can more often than not tell when I'm being lied to. We may never know the truth of what really happened that day in Dallas, because the facts have been mixed so thoroughly with what "THEY" wanted us to believe.
