Indian matrimonial provisions in any religion does not recognize any such marriage & such marriage if take place is void marriage i.e. absolutely illegal marriage or no marriage at all. Such relationship is within the degrees of prohibition & should be avoided from legal as well medical point of view.

No. I havent heard of that yet. Please dont have false ideas about India. Indians before going through marriage consult a lots of things in detail. Especially marrying off to own siblings is considered highly a no way in all Indian's mind these days.

Following matches have to be confirmed first, horoscopes, caste, religion, creed, health conditions, wealth, social status, education and family background, got any bad habits like smoking, drinking and whether having any vice relationships or not etc ... will all be considered and an exchange of hiv repors and std reports will have to be made as well.

After all these things settled, then only further marriage talks begin.

These aspects are for arranged marriages, love marriages I am not sure.

Your perceptions are totally a myth.

Generally not. IIIt is common in muslim community. They believe if both are not of same mother and father is okne, there is no wrong and it happened in India. Even in poorer sections of Hindu community, this type of marriages never take place. If at all taken plalce, it is only not knowing of their relationship prior to their marriage. The common phenomena is no class, creed or community and Christians marry. Their way of living or loving is social and they follow western culture even though lilving in India. The other people all over India respect the relationship of brother and sister from time immemorial. If you do not, know it now. India is basically country of Dharm and Cfulture. To shower mud, you shokuld not question this way.

No Indian ever married his sister. Indians are sensible and spiritual. It is never accepted in Indian society. Neither the Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Parsi religions allow it nor the culture, tradition and custom of Hinduism. Hindus marry sister's daughter but not the sister.

The worst Idiots cannot differentiate between a sister and cousin and may blame Indians for marrying sisters, if married with cousins. Their brains are jammed thus lack knowledge.

In India we check the lineage of the would be bride and bridegroom (' Gothra'). All of the hindus and associated religions have gothra. If the gothras are same the proposal is immedeately dropped. A culture which is following such a scientific insight should be emulated. As we all know offsprings from similar set of gene pool have lesser chance of survival.

No. It's not true. We indian understand the natural attraction of male-female towerds each other, may it be brother-sister. gatting married is having children i.s. next generation. If brother-sister start gatting married it will be harmful for next generation. If you know science you will understand this. So we are heavily hammered with functions like 'Raksha Bandhan" to remind ourselves about brother-sister relation. But yes, I do agree that in private they might have little attration towards each other or in rearest case sexual relations too.

I am an Indian, and I can assure you that no such custom was, or is, prevalent among Hindu Indians - be they Aryans, or Dravidians.
I have heard that certain sects of Indian Muslims [from your name,. you too seem to be one such !] have the custom of marrying their paternal uncle's [father's brother] daughter - which is the exact equivalent of marrying one's own sister.
