I will say it should have been Jinnah. Many will not agree with this but if he had been chosen to be the first PM, India would never got divided into two countries in 1947. Now see what is happening after 60 years of independence !!!!!

If it was NSC Bose, India would have evolved into a stronger military power and more disciplined nation.
If it was Sardar Patel, India would have not let Kashmir be occupied by China and Pakistan.
But if it was not Nehru, I doubt if India could be a great financial power today.
It depends on what you prefer. I would go for Sardar Patel.

Netaji was never in this que.
Sardar patel was a hard core politician.Pandit Nehru was the choice of British and Gandhi ji both.
My vote for Sardar Patel.

You perhaps don't know that Sardar Patel was the first choice of members of congress working committee when elections were held. In fact Nehru got only two votes one was form Gandhi and other was his own. Rest all went with Patel.
So anyway Patel would have been great choice as due to his efforts only we have United India.

i will say approximately all of them, a million. Sonia gandhi - She can't grow to be the president of India as she isn't a close-by of India 2. L.ok.Advani - He can't grow to be the president of India being the pinnacle of BJP occasion. He spends maximum of his time in accusing the present government. 3. Priyanka Vadhera Gandhi - I dont recognize any ingredient approximately her.. How can i vote for such an unpopular guy.. 4. but i feel it should have been Sardar Patel. Nehru was a hardcore socialist, and thanks to his policies (and the subsequent interpretations of it), India faced a massive financial crunch in 1991

Nehru was the only choice.netaji was absentin the country.Gandhi was not willing to be in power.jinnah was in pakistan which was already declared independent country.
patel was rigid not representing the modern political thought at that time.

It was Nehru and that was the best choice. It is not only essential for a head to be patriotic, he has to attract the appreciations of most of the people of his country.
Nehru only fitted the bill. We are lucky.
