I mean, what's the use? It makes the anti- virus companies a lot of money, but why even have viruses in the first place? Just so our computers can get ****ed up? I don't see why people create viruses. Can anybody tell me why someone would wanna stoop that low?

Yo Solid dude--
The present day --well studied conclusions on this matter boil down to what lists out to be four main categories of people that are into this sort of maleviolence !!!
First--- the individuals who are into doing this simply because they can--- there a numerous reasonings here---one being people who are into the "programing" mode who have a private sense of "one upmanship" over the "powers that be in the computing world"--- they usually are dyed in the wool geeks with a "thing" about their technical skills and have no clue in hell how to apply that skill to anything actually usefull !!!

Next are the cyber terrorists---these are people who without the use of the computer would be building bombs to set off in places that just simply hack them off--- they are actually the most distructive of all types because they usually target wide ranging applications that go after the "take down" of large numbers of businesses and people--- their goal is to cause as much major chaos and damage as possible to anyone and everyone---and a lot of them have a private sense of accomplishment in their efforts-- kind of like a privately held joke where the rest of the world is the punchline !!!

Third is the institutional dudes and dudettes (yes Virginia-- there ARE female cyber--terrorists)----These are people who write these programs to do a specific job for a specific purpose in order to sell the items to secondary markets to use in the invasive and intrusional processes inline with THEIR motives and goals !! Herein lies the numbers of people who are into the building of keyloggers and the like to outlet to business and industries who derive a lot of covertly obtained information about people and businesses thru this programs and they are rabid about their use and distributions !!!!

And lastly -- you have the entrepenuers--- those who are out there doing the stuff that the institutional terrorists are about-- only with their own goals in mind----of recent years there have been a number of these people caught and prosecuted who had built these things and turned them loose with the expressed purpose of selling the solutions to them to the internet security provisions people for a hell of a profit for themselves ---- kind of like a fee for killing their own brain child kind of deal !!!!

So, there you have the wonderful world of Virus mongers---and a group that is populated (actually) by some of the best (even though considerably twisted) minds in the computing world---- the question that I have always had about all this--- considering the talent that is big time wasted at this and the harm done by it--- what would have been the case if all this talent had been put to actual useful and constructive things ??
What major innovations and progressive inventionns would we be enjoying now as a people if this ability had been turned to good as opposed to the destructive and harmful ends that it has ???

that's impossible for an outbreak to impression anybody interior the international because of the fact meaning that each individual has opened / downloaded the contaminated document. What you're speaking approximately may be accomplished by way of a "computer virus", yet with all of the encryption and look after code accessible, I tremendously doubt a single computer virus might reason such harm.

Many times they are disgruntled former programmers. They write the virus to extract revenge on the company they were fired from.

Other times, they write the virus to gather data that is useful to them.

Some even do it simply for the recognition and bragging rights, but those ones often get caught for doing it.

Then there are the people who just like to see how much damage they can cause.

They think they're terribly clever and love the idea of affecting many, many people while they sit in their room laughing. They are very small and rather stupid. My feeling is if you're smart enough to create a virus - how about creating something useful? You might even be able to make money from it dumbass!
