women goes through a lot through out the day. They have to deal with many things. They wear many hats being a mother, wife, house wife, some women work, having to deal with the people at work, then coming home to make sure that the house is kept up and food is ready.
Take this into consideration sometime women needs a break. You punish your children not the one that God has join you together in marriage. this is your queen and you are her king.
Many time men/women don't appreciate a good things until it is gone. Cherish her now, when she is gone you will think about all the thing that you could have done but instead you wanted to treat her like a child and put her in the corner to punished her for burning dinner. Punish yourself for not thinking about her or calling her that day to tell her that you love her. maybe while she was cooking she would have been thinking of you and it wouldn't have burned. 9 times out of 10 she had a long day.

FIRST: Punishment, in this country anyway, isn't something you want to be doing for ANY reason.
If you're upset that the dinner wasn't to your liking, just try to imagine how horribly bad she felt knowing the dinner wasn't fit to eat.
If you want better meals without burns, why not get her a recipe book and the both of you go into the kitchen and learn to cook together.
If the dinner was burned because of baby crying, be happy she's taking care of your baby and tell her so.
Do not make her feel bad under any circumstances.
Treat her with respect and kindness and she'll learn the ways of being a married lady.
IMHO

Take her out to dinner in as best a restaurant as you Can afford. Treat her like a queen. Never ever mention the burned dinner. Guaranteed one of two things will happen. 1) She'll think your such a sweetheart, that your next home cooked dinner will be her very best effort or 2) ---she knows your an ass-hole, and your getting another burned dinner no matter what you do.

First of all, you never punish a wife, or anyone else for that matter. You might try understanding her better, asking her what it was that distracted her from the meal, or does she need your help in the kitchen. Cooking together provides quality time together, that otherwise you might not be able to have. Compliment her on what she does well and assist her in bettering what she doesn't. How would like to be treated under the same circumstances?

Okay, I hope this question is by a 10 year old who is goofing around on the computer, because NO human being can be that stupid as to want to punish his wife---for anything---let alone burning dinner.

Are you serious?
Do her a favor and leave her. No woman deserves a man that thinks he should "punish" his wife for anything.
Actually, to relate a similar story...I made a wonderful dinner for my husband, didn't burn it. It was perfect. He took one bite, threw it in the trash and ordered a pizza. The next day - I walked out and never looked back.

Why should she be punished just for burning dinner? That is really disturbing. Should you be punished for every mistake you make in life? I feel sorry for your wife that she is married to someone like you.

The best way to punish her, is for you to give her a practical demonstration on how exactly you would like your food burned.
If she does not catch on even after that, then you should both have all your meals at the friendly neighbourhood hawker's roadside stall. It'll be far better, and a lot cheaper too !

R U an idiot? if she burns dinner say thats ok hon you will get better next time. If you don't encourage her she will not try again!!! this punishing crap I would divorce you in a minute and I can tell you that if you said that to me it would be grounds for a divorce. Be light hearted and laugh because she will learn to not burn food and you will learn to be a better husband. Take care Heather

You don't punish someone for making a mistake. You should encourage her to keep trying. Eventually she will learn how not to burn dinner and before you know it she will be throwing dinner parties with four-course meals. Whatever you do don't hit her and don't talk down to her.
