Like how Florida's is the orange, New York's is the apple, Georgia's is the peach, etc?

it was the prune/plum until the 60's when they started growing more oranges than prunes. (yes I know prunes are just dehydrated plums)

in fact the USS California's nick name was "the Prune Barge".

I don't think it has a "signature fruit" anymore since California grows nearly every kind of fruit imaginable (at least ones that do not need tropic environments.

are Avocados fruits? it could be that...

Lemons or better yet avocados (which i always thought were like tomatoes, they could be a fruit)

i think its the orenge cause you always see people selling them by the on/off ramps. i agree with the guy right above me accually. you remember the california rasins.
