I would imagine Lip stain is made to stain, like a blueberry,
or blackberry kool-aid will stain lips.Gloss is shine and
more translucence, like Vaseline.Lip stick is wax and creme
combination meant to stay on periodically the most common
in lip make-up color.

stain is just whats its called. It sort of stains your lips for an all day look. It can be hard to get off your lips too, so make sure its your correct color. Lipstick is creamy and goes on smooth. Lip gloss, is used for shine and usually goes on after lipstick, or sometimes with just lip liner and then gloss..

Lipstick is used to color lips. Lip Gloss is used to add shine to the lips. Lipstain is for longer lasting color. It literally stains your lips for much longer than Lipstick or Lip Gloss.

gloss is the shiniest, but lasts for the longest time.
lipstick doesn't have a major gloss to it but will only last for maybe 4 hours.
STAIN will last up to 9 hours but again, is NOT shiny and will need gloss on top of it if you want it to be a ture stain.
