Do you have the War in Iraq confused with the Crusades? The Crusades were an attempt by Europe to spread Christianity (and conquer territory owned by the Muslims). The War in Iraq.... Um... Well, it started out being about "weapons of mass destruction", but now America must stay there to try to stabalize the nation, since it disbanded the government. I would say that resources (like oil) are a higher priority. If the United States is able to create a stable government in Iraq, then it will have a great ally in the Middle East, and that would be a great thing for the U.S.

An attempt to convert the Muslims in Iraq to ANY other religion would be futile and sabotage America's efforts to rebuild the country. That would be foolish.

No you will not succeed in Iraq and christianity will not spread across the region.

What do you mean by "succeed"? Attempts by the west to enforce their idea of "democracy" in the middle east are hardly welcome to the locals. If these efforts are considered to be done in the name of christianity, the result will be a serious backlash against it, as has already been seen.
