When I was 28 and woke up in ICU in the hospital where I worked as a nurse. I had finally admitted to myself that I was in love with a coworker. I couldn't handle it and I overdosed on my anxiety meds. I don't recommend that. If your confused get therapy if your curious go to a gay bar if you simply feel like you are, then you have probably just been living the politically correct way your whole life trying to fit in. Like me. Find a happy medium and stay there. Good luck!!

I've always been attracted to women, even when I was young as 3-4. I'd get little crushes on certain actresses. Then when I went to school, I'd get little crushes on other girls. As I grew older, my crushes were still only on girls. I didn't really feel weird about this...but I knew enough not to tell anyone, that they probably wouldn't accept it.

In 5th grade I heard the word "lesbian" for the first time, in reference to one of the teachers at my grade school. It kind of freaked me out, because she was kind of creepy. I thought maybe all lesbians were like this. It still didn't keep me from developing crushes on girls, though.

Then when I was 16 and my fam got the internet. I did some searching, and lo and behold I found NORMAL LESBIANS!!! It was wonderful! I felt secure with my identity, and have identified as a lesbian ever since.

I'm bisexual so I don't know if this applies to me but I knew since I was really young maybe 5 or 6 I would be attracted to my best friend at the time. I thought I was wierd. It ws the worst trying to supress the feelings I was getting but I didn't act on those feeling until I was 16 and I'm happy I did.

My first idea of it came at about 10. My class went on a camping trip. We were all taking turns showering, and when one of my classmates came out of the shower, it was like a new door had been opened! She had started puberty earlier thant he rest of us, and seeing her developed body made me 'happy' in a new way. But, the first actual time I admited to myself that I was gay was the summer after 8th grade. i had a huge crush on a girl in my camp group. She, of course was bone straight, and had no interest in me, but it solidified what i had know all along.

Girls always attracted me. But i didn't fully understand until i met this amazing girl who showed me that i was really attracted to girls. I think i was about 16 or so when i realized that i wanted a real relationship with a girl.

I'm not gay, but I'm pretty sure I'm bi. I talked sexually with men online for a couple of years, but I didn't really know until I took the plunge and actually got intimate with a guy.
