The ANC are and were basically cowards. Their so-called armed struggle consisted of murdering civilians (in the most brutal ways), playing on white guilt with the West (particularly Britain and the USA), intimidating into silence (or murdering) any dissenters, who then became 'collaborators', and turning tail and running like the dogs that they are when confronted by the SADF.
I read a response by some indoctrinated numbskull on this forum to a question about the 'armed struggle', saying that all 'is fair in love and war' and that the ANC were only fighting back with the means at their disposal - sticks and stones - as well as hitting at civilian targets, which apparently the SADF was doing as well.
This is not entirely true.
The ANC were armed by the Chinese, Cubans and Soviets - I know, I saw the Russian made weaponry when I was in the SADF
As terrible as their deaths were, the people killed at Sharpeville and during the Soweto riots were rioting, burning everything to the ground

as well as necklacing those singled out as 'collaborators' and lobbing the odd Molotov cocktail.
The ANC purposely used the youth (particularly black youth) to achieve their Communist, totalitarian aims.
They are just as responsible for those innocent people's deaths, by putting them in harm's way, as the SADF were when responding to thousands of violent rioters.
Both sides' hands are dirty - the deaths of those people is tragic - but what is abominable is the ANC's rewriting of history.
They would have every future generation belive that they were Jedi Knights, fighting nobly against an evil empire, when in fact, they are Communist, criminal scum that used the most vicious, cowardly methods to seize the power they now have.

Keep it real. Tell it as it actually happened.

I went to the "apartheid Museum" a while ago.

Do yourselves a favor and go to see selective history repetition in action. For those of us who know what really happened on both sides of the proverbial fence, it speaks for itself.

I am NOT denying that many people suffered and died for both causes, but it is beyond arguable that the Afrikaner is being portrayed as the villain in most arguments and debates.

I believe they are as it's the only way they can glorify the up rising, in any other country civilized or less so any form of revolt is put down ruthlessly but in South Africa it took on another dimension, it became a race war which the western liberal media in Britain and the USA played up to their advantage, with De Klerk at the helm the country was starting a process of change but it was not given a chance to see it through hence the reason it's so f*cked up now.

There will be no comments forth coming from the commie liberals in the West now nor the media they have done their masters bidding, may you lot burn in hell.

UA knows the score.

on the Y2K difficulty, i grew to become into on the front strains (the pun works too), and that i understand what had to be carried out to stay away from a working laptop or laptop crash! quite some domicile windows systems have been ok, it grew to become into the systems hiding interior the closets (servers and such) the place the themes have been, enormously with UNIX and Novell servers. Windows98 purchasers have been quite often Y2K compliant by making use of 2000, so those systems have been specially uneffected. the venture confirmed up with the mastercard systems first, using expiration dates on credit enjoying cards being dated previous 2000, they have been exhibiting expired on non compliant computers, which in 1995, grew to become into all of them! So no, Y2K grew to become into no longer a hoax, and we'd desire to constantly have enable them to crash, because of the fact this calling it a hoax is downright silly. No, international warming isn't a hoax, and if we don't help to repair it, we can be seeing evolution fix us!

They are afraid that the world will see the truth, cause they can't afford the world to turn against them. Where will all the help than came from then? So are the rest of Africa, playing on the sympathy of the world, and in the mean time destroying everything around them. The whole of Africa is starting to burn, and it is only their own practice. Funny that the rest of Africa have the same problem, only there are no other race/cultures/believes that provoke it. They are communists and self-destructive, now wants to blame it on everyone but there selves. Shame....

I thought history is supposed to tell the truth, not only one side of a story that happened to one part of the countries people.

I honestly feel that the way history is structured in the schools it is not helping the country or its people to reconcile. I feel it is creating more racial hate by only portraying a small part of history and in that the negative part against the black community by the whites.

If we have to re-write our history maybe it would be better for all if we started in 1994.

let's be honest here.

would you rather tello your granchildren you were a freedom fighter, fighting for justice and equality; or would you tell them you were a terrorist who bombed innocent people and kiled women and children in the name of the ANC?

of course they are trying to make the "struggle" noble!

once again the government, who speaks of "teaching our children the real history of our country" has made a cock up.

they, who call for transparency and honesty, are doing exactly what the old regime did - covering up their pasts, and masquerading it as a holy war.

The sad fact is, that in twenty or thirty years time, the children of today will be teaching their kids a lie - the history that suits the ANC.

and as for you wanda...

the UA is now watching you. we shall exact our revenge for your snotty remarks against our members...

Yes, but just as they made a balls-up of the crime stats, creating statistics that doesn't really work with holes big enough for everyone to see and ask questions I believe that they will create a history that just doesn't make sense and in time it will also blow up in their faces. But as usual their response would be something that could be summarised as 'eish!'

Of course they are - is the short answer.

Their (collective) view of the past is biased as is anyone's. History books should state both sides of any argument, but of course they don't.

Why do you think they are changing all the names of places and roads and monuments in SA?

Obviously if you have never accomplished any meaningful achievements, you would feel the need to create false achievements and broadcast them to your ignorant national following. Haven't deceit and propaganda always been communist trademarks?
