1) The number of lesbians isn't increasing. The stigma of homosexuality is gone so more people are coming out and being open with their sexual orientation, and with lots of information out there, more people are open to experimentation and discovering their sexuality. That's all; lesbians have always been around; they're just more visible now.

2) Sexual orientation isn't about who can satisfy you, it's about who you're sexually attracted to. Doesn't matter if a woman couldn't satisfy another woman at all; it won't make her like men if she doesn't from the get-go. Contrary to popular belief, not all women are amazing lovers for other women; "owning the same set of equipment" doesn't necessarily mean sexual prowess with the same sex. There are heterosexual men who are great in bed and lesbians who aren't; it just depends on the individual. But you better be guaranteed that if you don't like men, even the most skilled guy won't be able to get you off, because you won't be aroused by the fact that he's male.

Lesbian women are quite satisfied by their women, believe me. The absence of a penis doesn't hurt them a single bit, despite what men would have you believe.

Nothing in this world is absolute.

A lesbian today, can be a wife with four kids tomorrow.
A wife with a husband and four kids can become a divorced lesbian tomorrow.

Yes, a women can please a women sometimes the same way a man is not always on point.

Its not science of absolute. I also agree the other person that posted, it is more exceptable to be open about it.

It's not about finding no satisfaction with men: It's about the fact that if a lesbian tries to be intimate with a man, it feels wrong and unnatural because her physiology doesn't arouse her to a man. A lesbian is a woman whose body is chemically attracted to only women, and not a woman who is bored with men.

Women can satisfy women better, and men can satisfy men better. The "home-court advantage" thing.

It's not all about the sex. For you, a relationship with a man isn't all about sex, is it? Realize that sex is just a part of the homosexual realationship.
