Nash ... he's the most important player on his team. Phoenix are not a title threat without him ... but Dallas can live without Dirk (for short patches).

LBJ ... not his best season, Kobe ... nope, Gilbert ... not enough, Duncan ... not carrying the Spurs any more.

Nash is overly rated. He happens to be surrounded with good players who really should deserve the credit. When the suns lost the games while Nash is nursing an injury, you could see that it all seemed fixed. They wanted to magnify how valuable Nash is in their team so that a 3rd MVP would be in the bag. Well, this is just too bad for the league.

Let Nash play for the other teams and he would sulk.

My most favorite player is Kobe, next is LeBron, and then Duncan. However, I would really want Nowitzki to win the MVP. He is a real big time player. You can't really hate this guy. Just look at the Mavs right now.

If MVP is best player helping thier team Dirk has it all the way. Dirk has taken on players past and present to help lead them on and off the court. He gives his team the drive and determination they need. If he's injured they aren't lost. MANY teams cannot win at all without their star player. That isn't a good team.

if i had to pick one i would pick steve nash.....but remember the mvp is for the best player that helps his team....you might want to consider chris bosh of the toronto raptors..without him they would not be in first place....however when you look at the stats for phoenix whenever nash doesn't play ...there record is below .500.....
