to those that flame me, besides living in a bubble , open your eyes, read the news , listen to the radio, watch tv , heck even look up info on the internet...you might find something new in your small little world that is happening at this time that might be affecting your rights.

Be honest and open about how you truly feel. So long as you don't threaten the life of the president or any public official then these are the First amendment rights: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the Free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or the press; or the right of the people to peaceable to assemble; and petition the government for a redress of grievances."

Thank the Patriot Act I and II for all this.
Though I'm kind of confused that you mention the IRS. Almost the entire country speaks pretty critically of them. It's a given. It's the organization that takes your money.
You are constitutionally protected to criticize the president, bu it's a federal offense to threaten his life, which is not protected under first amendment rule, it's not even protected if it was another common citizen.

George W. Bush is the two delusional or thoroughly out of his ingredient. Al-Qaeda in Iraq is the least of Bush's subject over there. Our protection rigidity is interior the midst of a civil conflict. 2 hundred thousand U.S. troops must be stationed in Iraq Ken. If those distinctive factions come to a decision to combat it out no longer something will provide up the blood shed. Iraq desires international family to convey cohesion between those human beings. A unified Iraq can force out the insurgents and take administration of their very own united states of america.

Please, quit crying. I have never heard a single instance of anything that you claim has happened. If it did happen, it would be all over the news, as the MSM is so hell-bent on making sure they bring down President Bush.
I think it's laughable and idiotic that you are posting in a public forum freely about your free speech rights being threatened. Get a job.

It went the way of the dodo....
More and more, people are being attacked (figuratively and politically) for saying something that the people in power don't like. You see it here all the time -- someone will say something that one fanatic or other will doesn't like, and ends up being personally insulted just for having a different opinion.

I have heard very few stories of this sort. Where are you getting this information? I remember being rather surprised when Diane Feinstein said that her staff had contacted the ACLU often over their stories about people being investigated over this sort of stuff and the sort of thing you ask about and she had never found one that wasn't done right and justified! I saw her say this on C-SPAN>

This is a Republic and not a democracy. There are differences. Secondly, you can dissent against the government and the President but there are limits between discourse and slander. Consult with a lawyer about that one.
