There's a few different versions of the slide. There involves a lot more moves than what most people are use to doing and a lot more directions/instructions when you are dancing. Hands on your knees, getting low, doing the charlie brown etc. If you have black friends see or ask them to teach you, I'm sure you'll have fun doing it.

The only "Electric Slide" I know is the one danced to "Electric Boogie" which is sung by Marcia Griffiths. I think I answered your question already but you may be thinking of the "Bus Stop". Nobody sings for that one though.
