It's just another fad. It was hot in the 60's and 70's, and it's back again.
But you're also spot-on right about the Paris Hilton thing. "Sheeple" do whatever she does, and sadly, she's the head sheep who has more money than God, and buys whatever the salespeople try to sell her.
(Personally, I'm with you. Girls these days look like either a bug, or a patient leaving laser eye surgery! LOL!)

It's a fashion fad that's come along. Personally I would probably never where them...I'm wearing a pair of sun glasses on my head right now and there your normal type that i like.

It emphasis the cheekbones giving a slimmer look. It has been en vogue at various times during the '60s and '70s. Think Jackie-O or Twiggy. I personally like the style on women.

Everyone wears them even guys, it is cute, and makes sure that naughty sun doesn't bother with ur eyes too much. Stop being a dip wad. Yes they are to stay, i have a few pairs.

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was known for that style.It came back once again.Women use it to hide the fact that they're not wearing any make up.I think it's cool.
