Good question. I never really liked board games; we had The Game of Inida, then later Nile and Monopoly. But my favorite was solitaire, played with a choice as to whether or not to play a card that came up and belonged, at that time.
Did I mention Scrabble, while in high school?

Candy Land and Sorry is just what came to my mind too when I saw your question! I also liked all kinds of card games, Monopoly, and Yahtzee. And all the kids in my neighborhood played hide and seek on summer nights.

I played Candy Land, then Shoots and Ladders, before I got to one of my favorite games--Sorry. After that I played Yatzee, Monopoly, and several card games.

Me and my mom used to play Sorry all the time. She was also the one who taught me how to play grown up card games like Poker, Gin, and Rummy. When video games came around, I loved Ms. Pacman. I still do. I am also very skilled at the card games that Mom taught me. I have won lots of money in the past because of her.
