Go turtle! The turtle may be slow,but at least it won't sleep all of the time like a sloth would!

I would pick the turtle. Sloths live most of their lives in trees and I don't think they would do well on hand.
On the other hand, I once overheard a small snail talking to his father and saying "Wow dad, look at that turtle go!"

The sloth, they're a little faster than a turtle on land but in water they're pretty even.
