My mother works at the same place. A girl came to my mom and asked if she was the mother-in-law. My mother said yes. The girl said that my husband told her to watch what she says to my mother or he could have a bad weekend.

I have learned over the years, that people in a work place LOVE to start trouble. Do you trust your husband? Do you trust your Mother? Has anything been said to your Mother, that she told you causing your husband to have a bad weekend? When you answer those questions you will have your answer.

So does your hubby, mother and this girl all work at the same place?? I think your hubby is being a little sneaky and you need to tell him that you don't like the implication that he gave this girl that you are the big bad wolf and tell him that his behaviour won't be tolerated at all.

I agree I would ask him about it, I'm not sure I understand your question. Also remember that sometimes people gossip at work, and old bitties talk crap when they should stay out of others business!!
