is there a physical way to tell if someone has put something in your gas tank?

if you took your car to a shop and had the gas analyzed and or you could have them completely drain your tank etc if it was me and i liked my car and I thought it was sugar or dirt etc I would drop the tank clean it blow it out with compressed air and blow the fuel lines out put a new fuel filter in it and fresh gas in the tank and put an expensive nice locking gas cap on it then park my car somewhere safe then wait and catch who ever is doing it then turn them in oh first whip there butt then let the cops have emlol but thats just me.gl2u

Maybe. You would most likely have to drain the tank and inspect the fuel. If it was a solid you would find it when you pull the tank. If it was a liquid that did not dissolve in the gas then yes. If it was something that changed the color of the gas, yes.

Other than if your car starts running like crap? Drain the gas tank and see whats in there - good luck.
