I think he has become too powerful. Any competiters he has had he has run them out of business. from a businuss perspective he has excelled. It won't be long before he uses his muscle to do the same to TNA. i hope that TNA resist as a healthy competition can only make the WWE better, back to the Monday night war days. BTW I have never seen a TNA match/broadcast.

This is an answer from edge during an interview a couple of years back:
What did you think when WWE bought WCW?
I didn't think it was a good thing by any means, because I think in any industry where you have total monopoly is not a good thing and not only that you already had enough guys on WWE. Now you got these WCW guys and you think well where are they going to fit in, how are all these guys going to fit onto one roster, someone's time is going to get cut down, you always have to have Rock, Triple H take there time so there's going to be guys on the cutting board. I understood the theory in it, rather than just let WCW go by the wayside, you don't want that, so I understood it, but at the same time I knew there were going to be some ramifications, it got confusing. I knew it was going to change and not necessarily for the better.

Mixed martial arts killed it, why watch actors, when you can see real fights.

McMahon is completely unconscionable when it comes to business. Back in the old days when Sr. ran the show, the WWF covered the northeast, the AWA covered the midwest, the NWA was Southeast and south Central U.S., with a lot of independents covering the West and spots in between. It was an unwritten rule that everyone respected each other's territory, and it went on so long that no one really had action plans in place to protect their wrestler stables or their territory. So when Jr. takes over the business from his dad, he completely rewrites the rules and encroaches on everyone else's turf. He's made it a spectacle, and it has brought a huge return for him.
His business model, however, has not worked well for other ventures. Remember his foray into bodybuilding? Of course we all know about the XFL. The movies seem to be doing better, but I think the returns are a little more marginal, and there is less merchandising (the true power behind the throne) there than the core product of professional wrestling.
Best of luck to TNA. They're going to need it.

Yes and no.
yes he killed it for those who watched wrestling in the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. He has turned the industry into a bit of a joke with lame storylines and over the top gimmicks. his attitude towards other feds is totally disrespectful and should not be allowed.
But in another respect he made wrestling especially his company what it is today "a globally known worldwide brand", so popular that they can sell out arenas in places like Australia, UK, Ireland, Mexico, Japan etc within seconds. Tell me another american sporting organisation that can do that, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB or UFC wouldn't be able to anyway imo especially not in the British Isles anyway
he also turned guys like Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Steve Austin and Andre The Giant into household names throughout the world. many of today's stars such as AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Chris Daniels, Colt Cabana will have grown up watching WWE wrestling. If it wasn't for Vince would we have the chance to see these great stars in action today????

Vince only kills wrestling when he is on tv. With this stupid hair vs hair match you cant watch a wwe show with out atleast 4 adverisements for the match. And monday nights it takes up half the show. I am getting sick of this hair vs hair match i could care less who wins. Tna isnt good enough to have a decent war with the wwe. Wwe proved that when they went head to head on thats thursday and raw completely destroyed tna in the ratings. When vince isnt on wwe tv, it is much better.

given the facts that RAW has launched USA network to cable tv's #1 channel, TNA is most definitely a force in the business (whether you like or you don't... i do), and the very fact that so many people in this forum and countless others are discussing it suggests to me that wrestling is alive and well. No one has "killed" it.

Vince made wrestling what it is today. He does every thing he can to protect his brand name. He killed WCW because it became personal and because Ted Turner and Eric Bischoff tried to kill the WWE first.
