I've been on Orthotrycyclin-lo since January, and I usually get my period exactly when i'm supposed to, but the last time (about 2 weeks ago) I started a new pack and i'm still on my period! I don't think it's just spotting because it's everyday and just like a normal period, but should I be worried?

Pls talk to your dr about this. Several years ago I wanted to go on the Ortho-Tricyclen and my dr told me no and the reason why is because it was notorious for causing breakthrough bleeding (which is something I have a problem with at times).

Hmm, either the pills have expired and you got a bad pack or it could just be because your body is not used to the pills yet. Usually when you start up birth control or a new kind of pack it takes about 3 or 4 packs (or months) before you start to see regularity in your cycles. Don't get alarmed, just keep taking them and see what happens next month. Your body just needs to get used to it.

Probably the wrong pill for you. When I first started on the pill I was taking Alesse which stopped my period entirely, I went to another one which I've completely forgotten the name of which made it never end and then I went on Tricyclen which was just right... like Goldie Locks! Ask your doc to switch it, it's not the right dose for you. If you're bleeding HEAVY I'd go MUCH sooner rather then later.

i do no longer understand why it began early, yet that got here approximately to me in December. I purely stopped taking the hormone tablets and used that week because of the fact the "placebo" week and started back up with the tablets the subsequent week. that's somewhat useful to grant your dr. a decision and he/she would be able to prescribe you estrogen tablets to take mutually with your primary tablets for a month to boost the estrogen tiers up so which you are not getting the recognizing/menstruation early back.

you should talk to your obgyn. ortho-lo has a lower dose of hormones, you may need a stronger dose to regulate your cycle. if it's just been the case for one period then it's unlikely that it's anything extremely serious, i'd say to call your doc and see what he/she thinks though.
