Being an aunt to 11 children mostly teens and mother to one, I find myself talking to them about the subject of religion and sex. At this age, they are confused and I tell them their feelings are normal and that God had a plan for sex when he created it. It was for procreation(baby making) by married couples and as a means for them to become, one, united in love. Sex is a wonderfully spiritual and physical bonding experience when you are in a committed, monogamous, married union. But, It can be spirtitually and psychologically draining when engaged in an unhealthy, unmarried, or abusive partnership. It is difficult for children this age to understand how something so desirable can be so damaging if you are not emotionally mature enough to handle the consequences.
