When I get close and have a chance to talk to them my mind goes blank. What can I do?

Because you don't care what girls think about you that you are not attracted to. The girls you are attracted to, you get nervous because you're afraid you're going to say the wrong thing, that you'll sound stupid, wondering what they think about the way you look....
Just get it in your head that you don't care what attractive girls think of you & then you'll be ok.

Stop trying, you put to much pressure on yourself. Just do the things you like to do...birds of a feather hang together.
